A Victorious King and a Defeated Enemy

When Jesus declared, "It is finished," He wasn’t just speaking of the end of His suffering—He was proclaiming the total defeat of the enemy and the completion of His redemptive work. But what exactly is finished? Jesus dismantled the enemy’s claim to all authority and secured our victory forever.

So why do we so often give power back to a defeated enemy by fighting battles Jesus already won? Instead of striving, how do we truly stand in the finished work of the cross and live confidently in His victory?
